Three students from our Faculty have been admitted to this program organized by Huawei, placing the ULg among the best-represented universities of all the Belgian universities. The program brings together more than 400 students from 20 European countries (more than 10 000 students from some 100 universities worldwide), and is part of the European Pact for Youth, jointly launched by CSR Europe, the European Parliament and the Commission under the patronage of King Philippe of Belgium.
The program includes a language course (in Mandarin Chinese) at a renowned Beijing university, as well as product & solution-oriented training at Huawei headquarters in Shenzhen. This will give students the opportunity to sharpen their skills by working with Huawei employees, visiting the company's R & D laboratories and participating in state-of-the-art demonstrations. All expenses (international flights, accommodation, training, ...) are covered by Huawei.
The three students selected are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in engineering. They are Gilles BODARWE, Louis DELHEZ and Pierre KEUTGEN.
Audrey Mertens and Gaëlle Baudoux, both Bachelor in Architectural engineering, have won the competition "Accessibility and Architecture 2017" with their joint project of collective dwellings. This first place is ex aequo with a student of master of the Faculty of Architecture.
